How To Reinitialize The Offline Cache in Windows 7

Sometimes you just have too many conflicts when synchronizing your offline files in Windows 7 that you have to start over, but gone are the days of CTRL+SHIFT and clicking the Delete Files button in “Folder Options” like you did back in Windows XP to clear out the CSC (Client Side Cache) folder. Well, here’s how I’ve discovered how to clear the cache and start over. There’s two methods that can use to do this and both make me feel like I’m performing open heart surgery with a chainsaw, and I have found them both affective, but I am only going to cover the Registry Method as it’s a little safer or at least seems a little safer. DISCLAIMER: Always create a restore point before editing the registry!!! If you render your computer inoperable because of modifying your registry then you will have a better chance of recovery. Tips:  Customized your Login Screen Picture in Win7. 1.  You need to  save the login background picture as JPG format.  "it`s better with the same resolution as resolution in Windows" .  and size is below "250"KB.  and named as "BackgroundDefault.jpg" .  and put this file to this folder "C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\Backgrounds" 2.  "Start Menu"  --  " regedit" .  The registry is Located at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows \CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\Background".  Change the value of  "reg dword" of OEMBackground  to 1 . If the value as 0, this means don`t use the customized background picture , only use the default picture . 3. That`s all . Enjoy it .

On the Sophos POA a SGN User type in the credentials and remark "Pass through logon to Windows" and click "OK". The next user will get a SGN User and a valid certificate. When she is presenting the PPT on the lecture, then sametime windows is popped-up .  and made her angry .  Actually , this is the simple function in Lotus-notes.   To inform the user while new message comes.  If you don`t need this function to bother you .
